Health and vegetarian food are friends for life. A healthy diet with organic food is a simple and natural habit one can adopt for life.

Did you know that health food and vegetarian recipes are not only delicious but they are protective? A lot of food play a significant role against cancer. Here are some exemples:

Health food and vegetarian diet can decrease old age symptoms. Antioxidants are responsible for this gift. Foods that contain the most natural antioxidants are:

  • Red cabbage
  • Pomegranate
  • Plums
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Sweet potatoes
  • And many more!


Olive oil, salmon and avocado contain healthy fat. Healthy fat is good for the heart and the brain.

Less known, sweet potatoes and millet contain first quality carbohydrates.

Yogurt offers you the beautiful gift of precious friendly bacteria.

Easy to find and inexpensive, flax seeds are rich in omega-3 (ALA), fibres, proteins and also in phytoestrogens. It is very easy to add them freshly grounded (keep left over in the fridge) to morning cereals.

Losing weight is natural and so much easier when health food and vegetarian recipes are added to everyday habits. Here is an example:

1 portion (8 oz) of pecan pie = 800 calories
2 cups of papaya = 121 calories

All organic products are GMO FREE (genetically modified organisms). No scientist knows what impact food transformed by modern biotechnology has on human bodies. Everyone can recognize a GMO food by the sticker glued on fruit and vegetables. It contains a code of 4 or 5 numbers. If this code has 5 numbers and starts by "9", it is NOT GMO. Otherwise it is.

Many fungicides, herbicides and insecticides used routinely are carcinogenic. They are toxic for the endocrine system. Hence, science does not know the concentrations and the cumulative effects of non-organic products. Each food product holds a different amount of pesticides residue. Here are some that contains the most:

I graduated from university in molecular biology, in Montréal (Québec, Canada). I always had a real passion for health, especially health food. Health food is for me a true pleasure for all senses! Since many years, I adopted health food and vegetarian recipes. It did not take long before I started to feel so good. I felt good in my own body and also in my mind. When you make the healthy step, it is hard to go back to junk food and bad habits. You want to feel happy, proud and thin.

Talking about chocolate, cereals, fruit…, do you know how to recognize a real fair trade certified product?

I replace cow milk by cereal milk in recipes. I add it almost everywhere. My cat, her name is Yuca, still prefers cow milk. But rice milk is so good! May be I can offer her a salmon flavoured oat milk…(?)

Everyday I feel the positive effects of health food and vegetarian recipes. It is a gift. Health is a gift. And we can do something about it. We can choose to be well in mind and in body. Eating organic health food is a delicious and safe way to enjoy meals and enjoy life. Immune system becomes much stronger and can fight against a lot of diseases, even cancer.

I strongly think that it is as important to keep a healthy mind as to keep a healthy body. We are NOT only flesh. Negative thinking is the junk food of mind. It is as poison for the mind as it is for body. Keep a happy and healthy mind and your body will respond the same way. They are connected. They can help each other.
